The leader of this group is Bulcsu', a man who's anxiety of compition for his contracting job has lead him underground. Where he stays 24/7, never ventureing above ground. A most surreal sort of blending of genres, Kontroll is a film I urge many of you to check out for it deserves much more attention than it has at the very moment. The plot alone gives the film a very basic… With the film’s slick, jazzy aesthetic and high beats per minute, you might call it Subwayspotting. The requisite weird little guy (Badár) even looks a little like Robert Carlyle as Begbie; in The Independent Film Channel has been screening the full length version of Kontroll (111 minutes by my reckoning), widescreen, with nice clear subtitles. I watched the first 3 minutes and was hooked, open-mouthed, for the duration of the movie.
